Andy Cagle

Andy Cagle is VitalSource’s communications and public relations manager. In his current role, he is responsible for furthering VitalSource’s mission of providing the best affordable digital content to all learners by telling the stories of our successes working with students, schools, publishers, and corporate training partners.

Prior to coming to VitalSource, Andy spent 15 years in public education, including stints as a classroom teacher and adjunct instructor, a community relations and communications officer and teacher trainer for a K-12 school district, and a marketing and public relations director for a small college. His work focused on improving outcomes and college access for socioeconomically disadvantaged, rural students. In addition to his experience in education, he has more than 25 years in various capacities in community newspapers. Andy holds B.A.s from North Carolina State University and the University of North Carolina at Pembroke and an M.A. in Technology and Communication from the School of Media and Journalism at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.
