Inclusive Access
We believe students should have access to their course materials at the lowest possible price on the first day of class. Inclusive Access (IA) allows students to easily discover and manage content within the learning management system (LMS)—reducing the need to search and compare prices. As a first step on the road to access and affordability, institutions can selectively add content to Inclusive Access on a course-by-course basis.
Maximize Inclusive Access
After starting an Inclusive Access program, the next step is expanding IA on campus to include as many courses as possible. This greatly increases access while improving affordability for more students. Equitable Access
Equitable Access is the ultimate way to level the playing field. With Equitable Access, all required learning materials are provided to students directly in the campus LMS (or a print option is provided if a digital offering isn’t available) on day one of classes. For a single, affordable, flat fee, every student gets access to all required learning materials for the entire term and can opt in/out at the program level. By using the institution’s volume purchasing power, Equitable Access enables even lower prices than the course-by-course Inclusive Access model. Early results from a program at UC Davis indicate that Equitable Access has the power to dramatically increase the number of students on campus who have access to all required textbooks by up to 70%.
