In a year that has brought so many unexpected challenges, the VitalSource team wishes to express our deepest gratitude to those in the education community who have worked tirelessly to support students during these extraordinary times.
When the COVID-19 pandemic forced schools across the country to shift to remote learning earlier this spring, professors, school administrators, and other education stakeholders mobilized to develop innovative learning strategies and embrace new teaching modalities to support continued student learning.
From the campus bookstores to the publishers to the educators themselves, it was amazing to see the entire learning community rally together to offer new academic and social-emotional supports for students and leverage new technologies to encourage access, persistence and achievement, despite less than desirable circumstances.
What has been most important this year has been learning – and ensuring students have the tools and encouragement necessary to overcome these tremendous hardships and pursue their education dreams.
As we look ahead to 2021, we are both humbled and energized by the opportunities that await us all.
We’ll continue to partner with leaders in industry and in the education community to solve for the persistent issues of affordability, accessibility, and equity in education. Together, we’ll help even more students reach their learning goals in this increasingly digital-first environment.
On behalf of our entire team at VitalSource, I wish you and yours a healthy, safe, and hopeful holiday season, and a bright and happy New Year.
