VitalSource has long been committed to increasing student success through easy access to affordable content. We also believe that if you can, you must improve learning for students and expand educational opportunities for all learners. Of course, we are not alone in this view and it is the reason many companies have built assessment-rich course materials.

Connect Portal Makes Inclusive Access Easy for Students

The “Inclusive Access” model is rapidly gaining traction by delivering high-quality digital course materials to students on the first day of class at a fraction of traditional costs. But as with many developing models, the consumer experience (for students in this case) is currently half-baked: students lack a single place to find options and information for their specific Inclusive Access materials.

So we’re introducing Verba Connect Portal, a personalized student hub for Inclusive Access. Connect Portal provides a single location for students to view all of their Inclusive Access materials, manage opt-in and opt-out decisions, see custom notes from campus staff, and reveal access information for digital content: everything Inclusive Access, all in one place.

Each student’s personalized Connect Portal is easily accessible; a link to Portal is placed in your campus LMS and Portal will automatically authenticate the student and load their Inclusive Access materials. Alternatively, every email sent from Verba Connect includes the student’s personalized link, so they can jump straight to their Connect Portal. And if a student has lost their personalized link, Portal includes a dedicated retrieval page that will send a new link their way.

We know how important campus branding is to your growing Inclusive Access program. That’s why Connect Portal is highly customizable, supporting the unique program name of your choice (think AutoAccess at University of Missouri or Day One Access at Weber State). Even better, you can choose four custom colors to infuse your campus aesthetic into Connect Portal’s modern interface.

With Connect Portal, we set out to bring students a next-level Inclusive Access experience that resonates with your carefully crafted brand. If you have thoughts on how we can improve that experience, we can’t wait to hear them; just reach out to us at support@verbasoftware.com.
